What started as a concept for a participatory, unpredictable public art installation for a street art festival in Dubai, UAE evolved to design research into materiality, fabrication and collective design/make, with a focus on bottom-up design processes that are inevitable in multi-authored systems. A series of workshops and explorations in the studio led this research to become an upcoming Directed Research Project at CEPT University, Ahmedabad.
An ice-creamery for a local, artisanal ice-cream brand in Hyderabad, India. The retro-inspired design pushes the boundaries of inside/outside and redefines the scope of work of the designer: from brand identity to architecture to urbanism to execution. The project has been featured in various design magazines and has won several awards.

Situated on a tight, urban, parallelogram-shaped site in Hyderabad, the resultant design of the built form for this residence looks like a series of stacked boxes, with offsets in the x and z axes to increased the floor plates at each level. The dynamic 9-grid façade itself is computationally-designed and data-driven, a series of louvers that rotate at particular angles to create different levels of openings in response to the program within each space and user requirements of light and privacy.
